Post-Secondary Education Loans

Radius Credit Union offers a Post-Secondary Education loan to full time students (min. 60% course load) attending a recognized post-secondary institution. Education loans are a great option for those who don’t qualify for government loans, or need to top up the amount available through that program.

  • Maximum advance of $10,000 yearly, per year of full-time classes (up to 4 years for general studies with additional options for professional designations)
  • Interest only payments while attending post-secondary institution
  • Variable Interest Rates
  • No prepayment penalties
  • Loan insurance is available
Computer Purchase Loan

The computer purchase loan is available to post-secondary students for – you guessed it – the purchase of a computer! We want to ensure you are successful when you head off to post-secondary school – use this loan for a desktop, laptop, or tablet of your choice. Including the required accessories like a mouse and keyboard.

  • No down payment required
  • Prime Rate Lending
  • Maximum 3 year amortization

Radius Credit Union offers a Student Loan Program!

RCU Student Loan

  • Provided by us, your local CU!
  • Interest-only monthly payments (up until 6 months after graduation)
  • $10,000/year for 4 years (or more for professional designations)
  • Advanced on a regular monthly basis or at your request
  • All student members are eligible upon approved credit and course load
  • Students may also be eligible for a line of credit

Government Student Loan

  • Provided by the federal/provincial government
  • No payments until after graduation (interest accrues from start date of loan)
  • Approval based on financial need
  • Maximums in place based on individual courses and assessment
  • Funds are advanced based on the payment schedule provided to you
